Aastha
health care is an autonomous body headed by philanthropist
surgeon Dr Manish Motwani and his wife Dr. Mahek Motwani,
an eminent gynaecologist. However, he derived the real
inspiration and motivation from his parents- Mr. Ramesh
Motwani and Dr. (Mrs) Malti Motwani. Mr.
Ramesh Motwani has been a very prominent figure
in Mumbai and is known for his invaluable contributions
for the betterment of community. He has been proficiently
managing rotary school for deaf for past 10yrs. He has
been running many educational institutions, charitable
centres, and has held many camps for cataract surgeries.
Besides this, he has been an active participant for tree
plantation and greenery projects. His wife, Dr. (Mrs.)
Malti Motwani has been a leading physician in the suburbs
for the last 40 yrs. She has constantly worked for the
betterment of the society by providing proper medical
care to the poor, without coming into any limelight. Today
she is known for her compassion, dedication and perseverance.
Being the main driving force behind this multi-speciality
hospital, she also laid the foundation stone.
 Dr.
Manish Motwani has expertise in advanced laparoscopy.
After topping the university in M.S examination in 2000,
he went ahead for specialized training in laparoscopic
surgeries. After this there was no looking back. He completed
his laparoscopic training from specialized national training
centres and has got Diplomas in Advanced Laparoscopy from
the most reputed Laparoscopic centres of the World. He
also has the distinguished honour to be one of the selected
few Indians to be chosen as the member of the Pioneer's
circle (Asia - Pacific) which has only seventeen members
all over India and only two members across Mumbai who
have done extensive work in the field of Stapler surgery
for Piles.
During all these years, he realized the need for a healthcare
centre which was more than just a hospital. He dreamed
about a centre which had state-of-art facilities with
personalized care. This laid the foundation of Aastha
healthcare. Established in 2005, Aastha health care has
evolved from a small local hospital into one of the Mumbai's
busiest medical centres. During his overseas trips, he
carefully gathered the techniques of quality and service
management and executed them in his hospital. Setting
its benchmark year after year, Aastha is giving a new
dimension to health care industry. It has its belief in
'Atithi Devo Bavah'. It takes pleasure in becoming the
perfect host to every person who walks in.
 Dr.
Mahek Motwani, an eminent gynaecologist, joined hands
with her husband in taking Aastha healthcare altogether
to a new standard. Being a woman, she always understood
the problems faced by a female during pregnancy. Keeping
this in mind, she especially introduced 'painless labour
concept' in Aastha healthcare centre, to make the event
of child birth the most cherished moment of life. Dr.
Mahek Motwani completed her D.G.O from K.J. Somaiya Medical
College and Research Centre, Mumbai. After this, she did
her D.N.B from Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College,
Kolhapur. She also took up government recognised training
in Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation. She is now a reputed Gynaecologist
and obstetrician, laparoscopy & infertility specialist
in Aastha healthcare centre. Completely dedicated to Aastha,
she has been a pioneer in laparoscopic gynaecological
work and has set new standards for (new revolution or
concept for treatment of patients with gynaecological
problems through laparoscopy)
She is also has her commitment towards Sant Hirdaram
charitable medical centre in Mulund where she is the
honorary consultant. She has done extensive work in
studying and solving problems related to 'infertility'.
